It is with heavy hearts and deep regret that the Board of Regents announces that after 95 years of fulfilling the dream of Dr. Rosa J. Young, Concordia Alabama (CCA) will close its doors at the end of the spring semester 2018.
No new students will be admitted after the current semester.
Current students will be assisted with their personal higher education goals. Faculty and staff will be assisted in finding new positions. CCA is in the process of developing a Teach-Out Plan which will be submitted to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), for its approval. We will also inform other appropriate state and federal agencies.
We appreciate the many private individuals, alumni, and friends of the college who have helped sustain it over these many years.
“The Board of Regents” deeply appreciates the work of the faculty, staff, and others who have worked tirelessly, and at personal sacrifice, to keep Concordia College Alabama viable. We wish them the Lord’s Blessings as they move to other positions” said Mr. Lloyd Probasco, chairman of the Board of Regents.
